A double-sided laminated map of the historical lands of Latvia, with the reverse side featuring the coats of arms of Latvia’s state cities and municipalities.
In 2021, following an initiative by the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, experts developed the Historical Latvian Lands Law and accompanying cartographic materials, which clarified the boundaries of Latvia’s cultural-historical regions, a topic of frequent discussion in the past. The map “Latvian Historical Lands” displays the historical lands, as well as Latvia’s administrative divisions, major settlements, and other key information.
The coats of arms of Latvia’s state cities and municipalities are shown using the latest data.
This map will serve as a useful educational tool for both teachers and students.
